Quilting

I finally finished the quilt I started for Monkey before Bub was born two and a half years ago. He finally has a quilt that is big enough for the twin bed that he has been in for these last two and half years (the reason I started it). The biggest problem now is getting him to use it. He told me last night that he will use it tomorrow. So after he fell asleep I went and put it on him.

I found this "pinwheel" design and was able to use my embrodiery sewing machine to quilt it. It took me about five hours to do the 96 designs, but most of the time was because I had to hoop each place individually and then make sure I had the start point where I wanted it. Now that i have it done I think maybe I should have used the larger design on the middle of the squares instead of in the corners, but it still turned out nice in my opinion. It is bright which is my favorite part of it. Monkey's favorite part is the pinwheels and butterflies.

But now that I have the twin size quilt done I need to get the crib size one back from my mom. (She was going to pin it for me where I had just had Bub and didn't have time or energy to do it myself.)
