what a day

So this is the second post of the day. But it has just been one of those days that needs two posts.

We did get the papers signed which was really good, but it just seems like my day went down hill from there. The kids wanted to exactly the opposite of what I wanted them to. If I needed them to walk with me they ran the other way. When I got one caught the other would run the other way.

We finally manage to make it home and Monkey started cooking a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in the microwave. When I got down the whole thing was black and smoking and there was still nine minutes left on the timer. The whole house smells so we went to dinner. Of course it took me 10 minutes to find my keys before we could leave. By this time Spencer is ready to leave so we wait for him to get home instead of picking him up at his office. At the restaurant Bub doesn't want to come into the building. When he finally gets in, he flirts with the teenage girls in the bench next to us. The kids did eat well so that was good.

Then to make things all better when we get home I look back at Bub and see this....

We won't talk about how difficult it was trying to get Monkey to finish his homework!!!

update on the refinace nightmare

We signed another set of papers today to close our refinace. Hopefully this will be the end of the nightmare. And the saddest part is that I really don't know if this will be the last step. I thought Monday was the last step, but here it is Thursday and it should have been done, but we signed more papers today.

stressed

So I have not had any luck with the refinance nightmare we started in June. It was suppose to be taken care of on Saturday, but here it is Monday and we do NOT have a time when it is suppose to happen today even though that is what we were told on both Friday and Saturday. So now I am stressing that it isn't going to happen at all, even though I am willing to drive the 100+ miles to make it happen! But that is life I guess.

peaches

I just spent the last six hours peeling peaches and cutting them up to make a batch of peach butter. I had to cut 100 peaches in order to get 6 quarts of puree. That will cook down to half. So I will be lucky to get 3 quarts of peach butter for all of my effort. Not very excited about that. Plus I still have a bunch of peaches that I need to do something with. I am not sure the peaches are going to make it till I leave town and I sure don't want to cute up another peach.

At least I got a cute picture of a little boy with the peaches.
