simple pleasures

I took the kids to the park today. Monkey didn't do much playing, but I got to visit with my friends. As we were getting ready to leave Bub fell and scraped up his knee. Which brought about another discussion so it was a while before we were left. While I was involved in this discussion Bub fell again and scraped his knee again. He was already tired and so I knew he needed to go to bed when we finally got home. In the five minutes we were home Monkey took a truck away from Bub and made him cry so I took him and put him in bed. He really didn't make a fuss so I knew he was tired. However, when I went to leave the room he started to sit up in bed so I just sat at the end of the bed. It didn't take more then ten minutes and he was sound asleep. He has never been a big cuddler so this is about as good as I get with him. It is just nice to sit there and let him sleep. Maybe it is a mom thing.
